The site aims to host a comprehensive calendar of Record Shows and Fairs in North America and the UK. Eventually other countries may be added. Events where you can buy LP Vinyl Records, 45s, 12″ vinyl, CDs, Music Memorabilia DVDs and more. The record show scene is growing just as the vinyl scene is growing.

The calendar also feeds The Vinyl District GPS-based Record Store Locator App. The app is available for iPhone and Android. It shows users record shops near them, has cool social and sharing elements and now uses the RecordShows.net Record Show Calendar to feed the app with upcoming record shows and fairs.

Yup, looks like it’s going to be a nice weekend:
Woodstock NY Weather July 30/31 2011
The Woodstock Library is having its annual Fair on Saturday July 30th from 10am to 5pm. Record hunters should know that this is a good place to pick up bargain LPs, CDs and DVDs. Suggested contribution for admission is only $2.00
After that, come on over to the Vinyl Garage and have spend some quality crate-diggin’ time! It’s not the full-on, enormous tent event we have on Memorial and Labor Day weekends, but there are still several thousands of vinyl LP records, 12 inchers and 45s to look through. They cover pretty much every genre of music and you can also listen to any open record.
It’s going to be hot, so we’ll have ice cold refreshments on hand.

One word of warning though, the second England vs India (cricket) Test is on, so we’ll probably listen to that in the morning.

Looks like the weather is gonna be nice this weekend. The Test Match is on the radio so I’ll be working on the records outside in the yard. It’s all undercover so we’ll be protected.
So what the hell, lets open up the Vinyl Garage and Tent and sell some records. We’ll play some music (perhaps quite loud), we’ll have a coffee, some pastries and a chat and make sure some records have good new homes!
Some are cheaper than free, many many are $1.00 and the prices are pretty damn reasonable after that.
5,000 plus LPs, 45s and 12″s of all genres.

I just bought a large guitar oriented collection. It contains lots of jazz and jazz guitar LPs, most of which will be $5 or below. There are also some pretty rare guitar fireworks records from other genres.
That’s what I’ll be working through this weekend. If you’re a guitar fan you’ll find a bunch of beauties here.
